Gone

Today I realized how easy it is to focus on everything except the things that truly matter. It's easier to fix how I look than to face what's happening inside. I can ignore problems, silence notifications, distract myself, and pretend everything is fine, but avoiding them doesn't make them disappear. Life keeps moving, whether I'm ready or not.

Sometimes I dream of a life with more purpose, more peace, and more meaning. Yet there are days when it feels like I'm moving backward instead of forward. Plans change, circumstances shift, and it can feel as though the world is spinning in the opposite direction. Still, I don't want to give up on today because once it's gone, I can never get it back.

Time disappears quietly. Yesterday already feels distant, and before I know it, today will become another memory. That reminds me not to waste moments on things that won't matter in the end. I don't want to live as if I have unlimited time when I know I don't.

What am I really chasing? Success, money, recognition, or approval? If I gain everything but lose myself in the process, was it ever worth it? My greatest treasure should be the person I'm becoming, the relationships I nurture, and the hope I carry not the things that eventually fade away.

Nothing in this world lasts forever. Childhood ends. School ends. Summers end. Dreams change. Even the people the world remembers eventually become history. Every accomplishment, every possession, and every title is temporary. That truth isn't meant to create fear it reminds me to value what is eternal over what is temporary.

Life is more than money. More than status. More than popularity. More than possessions. Time cannot be bought back, and every day I borrow is another opportunity to live with purpose, to love more deeply, to forgive more freely, and to become a better person.

I don't know how many tomorrows I have, but I know I have today. So instead of pretending I'm immortal, I'll try to live intentionally, appreciate the people around me, and remember that a meaningful life is measured not by what I collect, but by how I choose to spend the time I've been given.

Life is temporary, but the choices I make today can leave a lasting impact. I don't want to waste today pretending I'll always have another tomorrow.
