Distant
I am in that point in life when you stop searching everywhere else and realize the One you've needed has been beside you all along.
For a long time, I thought I had to carry every burden on my own. I believed strength meant never breaking, never asking for help, and always finding my own way. But life has a way of revealing our limits. In the moments when my plans failed, my heart ached, and my hope seemed distant, I discovered something I hadn't fully understood before: I was never walking alone.
The greatest comfort wasn't that all my problems disappeared. It was the quiet assurance that God was with me through every disappointment, every unanswered prayer, and every uncertain step. His presence changed everything.
I no longer see myself as someone defined by past mistakes, failures, or fears. Through His grace, I have been made new. My identity is no longer built on what I've lost but on the One who has never left me.
Every day, my prayer remains simple:
"please don't let me go. I desperately need You."
Not because I fear that someone will abandon me, but because I know how easily I can lose sight of someone when I rely on my own strength. I want to remain close to the One who gives my life purpose, peace, and hope.
I am not my own anymore. My life belongs to the One who rescued me, restored me, and continues to shape me.
And in that truth, I have found a peace that nothing in this world can take away.
