direction

I don't know where this road is taking me anymore. I only know that every step forward seems to take me farther from the place that once felt like home.

Some memories refuse to fade. They stay tucked away in ordinary places a familiar street, a passing breeze, an old photograph, or a song that appears when I least expect it. They remind me that there was a version of my life where everything felt slower, simpler, and full of possibility.

I left believing I was chasing something greater. Maybe I was. Maybe I was just running from the uncertainty of standing still. Either way, the distance has taught me that not every journey is measured by how far you travel. Sometimes it's measured by how deeply you miss what you left behind.

The world keeps changing around me. New faces, new places, new routines. Yet none of them carry the quiet comfort of what I once knew. Home was never just a location it was a feeling. And feelings are harder to return to than places.

I don't know when our paths will cross again. Life rarely tells us when a goodbye is temporary or permanent. All I can do is keep moving, carrying the best parts of those memories with me instead of trying to relive them.

If destiny is kind, perhaps one day this road will circle back.

Until then, I'll keep walking in the direction life has chosen for me, grateful for where I've been and hopeful for where I'm going.

Until we meet again.
