5th of July

Every year, one particular date reminds me that sometimes a single life can quietly change thousands of others.

Long before I ever heard the songs that would become the soundtrack to my life, there was a family waiting for a child to arrive. They couldn't have known that the little boy they welcomed into the world would one day write lyrics that would comfort strangers across continents, inspire dreamers, and remind people that hope can still be found in the smallest moments.

That child grew up to become "Owl City".

As a fan, I often think about how extraordinary that is. One ordinary birthday eventually became the beginning of countless stories—including mine. His music has been there through seasons of joy, uncertainty, faith, loneliness, and wonder. It has a way of making the world feel a little brighter and reminding me to keep looking up.

Birthdays aren't just about celebrating another year. They're about recognizing the ripple effect one life can have. The melodies, the lyrics, and the quiet sincerity behind Owl City's music have reached people who may never meet Adam, yet feel understood because of what he created.

So today, I'm simply grateful.

Happy Birthday, Adam. Thank you for choosing to create, to dream, and to share your heart with the world. May this new year bring you the same peace, joy, and inspiration that your music has given to so many of us.

Here's to the day your story began and to all the stories it continues to inspire.
