Oliver Tree - The SCOOTER Guy

I first discovered Oliver Tree through his collaborations with Cherdleys. Back then, I was spending hours watching comedy sketches, absurd internet humor, and the kind of content that made no sense but somehow felt perfect. The videos featuring Oliver immediately stood out. He had this strange energy that was impossible to ignore. His bowl haircut, oversized clothes, and completely unpredictable personality made him look like a character from another planet.

At first, I thought he was just another comedian playing a weird role. But the more I watched, the more I realized there was something different about him. Behind all the chaos, there was genuine creativity. Every appearance felt like performance art. He knew exactly how ridiculous he looked and leaned into it harder than anyone else.

That curiosity eventually led me to his music. What surprised me most was how someone who could be so funny could also create songs that carried real emotion. Tracks like "Hurt" and many others revealed a different side of Oliver Tree. Beneath the comedy and the internet persona was an artist capable of expressing frustration, loneliness, ambition, and resilience.

Looking back, those old Cherdleys collaborations were more than just funny videos. They introduced me to an artist who taught me that creativity does not have to follow rules. You can be weird. You can be unconventional. You can make people laugh and still create meaningful art.

Years later, whenever I see Oliver Tree's work, I am reminded of those early internet days and the excitement of discovering something completely unique. Not many artists can make you laugh, confuse you, and inspire you all at the same time, but Oliver has always managed to do exactly that.

Thank you, Oliver Tree, for embracing the absurd, challenging expectations, and proving that being yourself is often the most powerful thing you can be.

Until next time.

Remembering him I wrote a  Comedy Sketch Script back in the day "The Scooter Guy" following is the script:

“THE SCOOTER GUY”

Jimmy: Milk !?

Sheena: WHAT ?! wait that’s the worst combination

Jimmy: No ! its good..

Sheena: Yaa its good when you’re 9 and your Mummy gives it to you.

Sheena(while hugging him tightly): You better Call Me !

Jimmy: I will… for sure.

Sheena: okay ! I will be waiting.

Jimmy walks his way as sheena watches him after taking few steps he walks towards the side of the pathway to get his skate scooter and helmet from behind the tree. Sheena is in Total Shock. Jimmy Puts on his Skate Scooter Helmut while smiling at Sheena from a distance and waves her goodbye as he rides his skate scooter the other way seeming that he has scored a potential girlfriend.

Short ends with Sheena in Shock as she goes on tinder again to swiping right on other guys pandering herself that she will find a decent guy one day who will not be a weirdo and in other scene  Jimmy at his home eating Pasta with Milk(thinking about his day with listening to love songs like “"Right Here Waiting"—Richard Marx.”
