I told everyone I was going to Punjab and Himachal Pradesh for work. That wasn't a lie. I had business meetings lined up in Ludhiana, and they were important. They gave me a reason to leave Delhi, a schedule to follow, and something productive to focus on. But if I'm being completely honest with this journal, work wasn't the only reason I packed my bag.
